When we designed the TTV 5565 followed by the TTV 4555, TTB 6055 and TTB 6055T we added a small microswitch between the top and bottom tanks.
The purpose of this switch was to prevent the machine from operating when the top tank was was raised.
In practice this switch has been more trouble than it’s worth. We have found that due to the weight of the top tank, if not lowered very carefully, it could damage the switch resulting in the machine not working at all. If you experience this problem the switch can be permanently removed. We have made a kit available to make this modification.
